Jaroslav Šilhavi resigned as head coach of the Czech national football team, the team announced.
Last night, the Czech Republic beat Moldova 3-0 in the qualifiers and qualified for the 2024 European Championship in Germany.
“Despite today’s joy, even before the match I decided that I will not continue working with the national team. I announced this to the president of the country’s football federation. The tension was huge, which also influenced my decision,” the specialist told “CT Sport”.
Jaroslav Silhavy has stepped down as Czech Republic manager after securing qualification for Euro 2024.

62-year-old Šilhavi has been in charge of the Czech Republic since 2018 and has recorded 26 wins, 10 draws and 20 defeats. He qualified the team for the European Championship in 2021 and just one point deprived the Czechs of participating in the world championship in Qatar last year.
