The Russian national football team defeated Cuba 8-0 in a friendly match played at the Volgograd Arena Stadium in front of 40,706 spectators.
The goals for the hosts were scored by Ivan Oblyakov in the 22nd minute, Alexander Golovin (30), Anton Miranchuk (34), Alexander Silyanov (55), Alexander Sobolov (66), Danil Prutsev (68), Nikita Krivtsov (74) and Andrey Mostovoi (78). In the 85th minute, Sergey Pinyaev missed a penalty.
This is the second most convincing victory in the history of the Russian team. The biggest is from June 8, 2019 – 9:0 over San Marino in the qualifiers for the European Championship.
