As a group, GERB-SDS did not promise Boris Bonev to be the chairman of the SOS, said municipal councilor Georgi Georgiev.
“This is what Terziev promised him, and in return Bonev supported him for mayor,” he added.
Georgiev commented that blocking all of Sofia and the SOS until PP-DB “pays off their political bills” is frivolous. They are the first and largest group in the SOS and bear clear responsibility for the majority, said Georgiev. According to him, it is worrisome that before the invitations were sent to the parties, talks were held between Vasil Terziev and Kornelia Ninova.
GERB municipal councilor Anton Hekimyan commented to journalists that from the very beginning they stated their position and it was not to support Boris Bonev.
“Everyone should know that whoever sows winds reaps storms. We will discuss whether to go to a meeting with them at all, but the search for policies is one thing, and the search for the chairman of the Municipal Council is something completely different,” he added.
According to him, there were no discussions about why Boris Bonev should be supported as chairman of the SOS. I am very interested in who will send the invitation for the talks – Terziev or Bonev, said Hekimyan. He pointed out that when you elect the chairman of the SOS, you are actually declaring who will be the new majority. We clearly said that we will not support Boris Bonev, emphasized Hekimyan.
