Nine Bulgarian citizens and their family members were successfully evacuated from the Gaza Strip and are now safe in Cairo.
This was announced on Facebook by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maria Gabriel.
“Thank you for the coordinated efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic missions of our country in Cairo, Ramallah and Tel Aviv and the Situation Center Directorate.” Follow-up actions are pending for their return to Bulgaria,” added Gabriel.

“Our efforts to assist all Bulgarian citizens who have sought assistance continue,” the foreign minister pointed out.

“On the page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a banner is available, giving access to constantly updated information on providing assistance to our compatriots in need. Data can also be sent electronically to the Situation Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” added Gabriel.
