“The company I founded with three friends was founded with our personal savings and money from clients. No money, no briefcases, nothing to speak of, I have no addictions. I don’t think there can be any doubt about my democratic values.” This was stated by the candidate for mayor of Sofia, nominated by PP, DB and “Save Sofia” Vasil Terziev, in the program “Face to Face” on BTV two days before the start of the election campaign.
According to him, it was clear from day one that his mother, father, grandfathers and other DS relatives would be the “main line of attack” against him.
“But a man must be tried on the deeds. My deeds have been quite visible for years, as well as my convictions about what type of Bulgaria and Bulgarians I am fighting for. There is no question to fear. Everything must be put on the table, we have been asked all kinds of uncomfortable questions and I am not afraid,” added Terziev.
According to him, he is fighting for a democratic society, and decisions should be made where the problems are.
“District administrations – close to the people, active civic participation, finding a format in which citizens through public councils or other formats are at the table, greater transparency about the work of the municipality, what resources are spent on and where all the projects are,” he added Terziev.
