Orlin Vladimirov, accused of murdering his wife Evgenia in October 2021 in Sofia, gave an explanation to the court today. The man is giving his version of events for the first time.
“It all happened on October 13. We sat down to lunch, we had an argument. Things escalated. She hit me, we fought. We lost our balance, staggered, fell and she hit her head on the edge of the TV. I realized. I saw that she was lifeless.” , said Vladimirov, quoted by BTV.
Eugenia’s body was found in 2021 in a suitcase in a body of water. According to the indictment, the crime was committed in a particularly painful manner. The man’s father is also a defendant in the case.
At a hearing held on September 19, the court refused the exhumation of Evgenia’s body requested by Orlin Vladimirov’s defense. The forensic psychiatric and psychological examination assigned to the case found that he does not suffer from and has not suffered from psychosis or any other psychiatric illness.
