WHO COOKS
“You can make this recipe without minced meat and I assure you that the lack of meat will not harm the taste”, Anelia Terzieva writes to us.
PRODUCTS
7-8 red or green peppers (fresh or frozen), 1 tsp. bulgur, 300 g minced meat, ground beef, salt, black pepper, red pepper to taste, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 1 tbsp. yogurt, 2 tbsp. flour, 1 tbsp. mushroom flour
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
We fry the onion and carrots, which we cut into small pieces. Add the minced meat to them and mix until it becomes crumbly.
Add the mushroom flour and the spices. Add bulgur and a little water to make it swell. After it boils, we fill each of the peppers with the resulting stuffing and arrange them in a baking tray.
Add two fingers of water so that it partially covers the peppers. After 40-50 minutes, when most of the water has boiled and the bulgur should be cooked, we check the readiness of the dish.
Mix the yogurt and flour and stir until there are no lumps. Add a little water and pour the mixture into the pan. Return for another 5-6 minutes until the sauce thickens.
