GERB-SDS, PP-DB and DPS with a proposal to postpone the preparation of the budget for next year. The reason – the extraordinary vacation that the deputies voted for due to the upcoming local elections.
According to the law on public finances, Budget 2024 must be prepared, discussed by the Tripartite Council, approved by the cabinet and submitted to the National Assembly by the end of October.
With their signatures, Yordan Tsonev from DPS, who is also the chairman of the Budget Commission, Venko Sabrutev from PP-DB and Delyan Dobrev from GERB-SDS propose to postpone the introduction of the most important financial law of the year to the parliament until November 15, writes NOVA .
It often happens that the current deadlines related to the budget are not met and midnight sessions of the National Assembly are held. In years past, the parliamentary clock has even had to be stopped to comply with budget rules.
