Over half of the Armenian residents of Nagorno-Karabakh have already gone to Armenia.
This morning, the Armenian authorities announced that according to the latest data, more than 65 thousand refugees from this region have arrived in the country, reported France Press.
Azerbaijan regained full control of the area last week, which is an internationally recognized part of its territory but populated predominantly by ethnic Armenians.
Before the Azerbaijani military operation, Nagorno-Karabakh had a population of 120 thousand people.
Azerbaijan said yesterday that 193 of its citizens were killed in the lightning offensive, while earlier Armenian separatists in the region reported 213 dead, BTA writes.
