The DOT.Sofia building is the Women’s Market in Sofia itself.
The award-winning DOT.Sofia project was realized at 46 Bratya Miladinovi Street in Sofia. It is an aparthotel with a separate space for contemporary art and a restaurant for author’s cuisine. “The rusted steel facade seems to preserve the characteristic ancient reality of the area around the Women’s Market, and the large-sized shutters follow the rhythm of the lively market. The restaurant is already working, and tomorrow the first exhibition opens there.
The jury also awarded four special awards:
“100 chairs on the roof”, realized on the last level of a parking building in the Business Park in Sofia. The project is of the “Collective” of the national architect Martin Yankov.
Hotel “Lotus”, built on a cliff above the Varna Bay. The project is by arch. Georgi Bachev and arch. Dobrinka Petkova from ARHIS PROJECT.
Exposition “Treasures of Vrachan” project of Atelier 3 – arch. Donika Georgieva, arch. Miroslav Velkov, arch. Desislava Kovacheva and arch. Christina Kirilova. The main goal is to rethink the outdated museum space and present the treasures in an exciting and memorable way.
