One of the sappers who neutralized the drone near Tyulenovo is upset by the taunts directed at him. This was reported in “The Day Begins” by the Chief of Defense, Adm. Emil Eftimov.
He stated that the man was not wearing a tank top but a wetsuit.
It was the wetsuit that became the subject of online ridicule and raised the question of whether divers and sappers were adequately equipped.
“The boy is very upset. I know how responsible they are – but what if two or three more drones come out tomorrow and they all have to act? On Friday, the navy will do various mine disposal demonstrations,” said Emil Eftimov.
He pointed out that, despite this, the result of the operation was satisfactory. He also said that the drone fell on the border between the water and the land, accordingly the disposal protocols are different.
