Radoslav Revanski from DPS is the first elected mayor of a municipality in Bulgaria for the term 2023-2027. He is the only candidate for mayor of the municipality of Belica and will start his third term on the day of the vote, even if only one ballot has been released in the urns.
The phenomenal thing in this case is that for the first time in the history of democratic Bulgaria, the mayor of a municipality together with the mayors of all settlements are the only candidates. Elections for village mayors will be held in Babyak, Gorno Kraishte, Dagonovo, Lyutovo, Kuzyovo, Palatik, Chereshovo, Ortsevo and Kraishte, but even there the only registered candidates are from DPS.
Revanski thanked on behalf of everyone for the trust and recognition and categorically committed to building on what has been done so far and maintaining the attitude towards people.
In 2015 and 2019, Revanski was elected in the first round with a huge lead over a GERB candidate. Now all parties have given up fighting for the mayoral seat not only in the municipal center but also in all the villages.
In the city, this is no surprise to anyone.
Sonia Kuteva: “Very good mayor, Belitsa has completely changed, so it was expected, it was normal for it to turn out that way.”
Yosif Madolev: “He has done a lot of things, and there are still a lot of things to do. The cleanliness, for example, the cleaning of the city of Belitsa itself is not at the required level.”
Radoslav Revanski, mayor of Belitsa municipality: “I continue to upgrade, however immodest it may sound. After the meeting with you, I’m going to see what’s happening with the road to Semkovo and we’re starting new streets in Belitsa and Kraishte.”
The battle for the Municipal Council remains in Belica. Four lists will compete for the 13 seats in the local parliament. These are: DPS, GERB, BSP and “Vazrazhdane”.
