The Minister of Defense of Russia, Sergei Shoigu, during a meeting of the department’s collegium on Tuesday, made a forecast about the duration of the war in Ukraine.
He said, quoted by local agencies, that the Russian Defense Ministry continues to increase the combat power of the armed forces, including by supplying modern weapons and improving the training of troops, taking into account the experience of military operations in Ukraine.
“The consistent implementation of measures and activity plans until 2025 will allow us to achieve our goals,” he said.
The minister added that the groups of the Russian armed forces continue active actions to defeat the Ukrainian troops. He also stressed that Western arms supplies are pushing Ukraine towards self-destruction.
Shoigu pointed out that the US and its allies continue to arm Ukraine. Kiev, in turn, throws untrained soldiers into pointless assaults, despite the lack of results of the counteroffensive.
“The Western curators of Ukraine do not deviate from their inhumane principle of ‘weapons as a way to peace,'” said the minister, quoted by “Focus”.
