Oil prices rose slightly in Asian trade today as markets focused on tight supply ahead of the winter season and a “soft landing” in the US economy, BTA reported, citing Reuters.
Brent, Europe’s benchmark, added 33 cents, or 0.4 percent, to 94.29 points.
U.S. light crude was up 31 cents, or 0.3 percent, at $90.70 a barrel.
Industry data showed last night that US crude inventories rose by about 1.6 million barrels last week, despite analysts’ expectations for a decline of about 300,000 barrels.
