The month of September, which has already passed, is much warmer than June this year. The information is from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology. The data also show that this September is between 4 and 6 degrees warmer than any other September in the last 30 years.
June is usually warmer than September. In the last three years, however, this has not been the case. The first month of autumn is already warmer than June, and this year it is most pronounced.
“We are going to more frequent prolonged periods with higher temperatures, more often there are phenomena that are of an extreme nature. Yes, this is part of the climate characteristics in recent years, not only in our country, but also in the European continent”, explained Anastasia Stoycheva, weather forecaster on duty.
Forecasters’ data also indicate that this September was 4 to 6 degrees warmer compared to climate norms. While June this year was 1 to 3 degrees colder compared to these norms.
Forecasters refuse to predict whether next year we will have a warmer September than June. However, they promise a warm winter.
“We expect a warmer season, with more precipitation. This does not mean that it will only rain, we expect more snow compared to previous years,” Anastasia Stoycheva also said.
However, it is quite certain that until the end of September there will be plenty of sun and almost summer temperatures.
