Lokomotiv (Plovdiv) managed to take a point from Ludogorets after the match between the two teams from the 11th round in the First League ended 1:1. The team from Plovdiv, which is the leader in the championship, remains undefeated since the beginning of the season, despite that stopped his nine-game winning streak.
The team led by Alexander Tomas was losing from the ninth minute of the match, but shortly before the end managed to equalize.
“Ludogorets” captain Bernard Tekpetei opened in the ninth minute after a beautiful performance. After that, the champions missed a lot of chances, and Lokomotiv’s goalkeeper Dinko Horkas had excellent performances.
On the other hand, his colleague at the other door, Simon Sluga, was largely to blame for Lokomotiv’s goal in the 86th minute. He held the ball for a long time and did not clear it, allowing the reserve Petar Andreev to play with it and score.
After 11 games, “Lokomotiv” is the leader in the First League with 29 points, having two more than “Black Sea”. “Ludogorets” has played nine matches and is fifth in the table with an asset of 17 points.
The match started well for Ivaylo Petev’s team, as Tekpetei scored in the ninth minute. He controlled Jakub Piotrovski’s pass with his right foot and even as the ball was falling with his left foot he sent it into the net – 1:0.
Until the end of the first half, “Ludogorets” had the better chances, but did not score a second goal. “Lokomotiv” was waiting for its opportunities, and one was opened after a mistake by Sluga, but a football player in black and white did not hit the empty net.
In the 57th minute, the VAR judge Volen Chinkov assisted the head referee Nikola Popov for a penalty situation for “Ludogorets”, which after review he decided that there was no violation.
After the break, “Ludogorets” slowed down the pace, and towards the end, it was easy, when it came to an equalizing goal. Sluga received the ball in front of his goal area, was slow to play it and Andreev kicked it in front of him to put it into the net.
Until the end, Horkas had important interventions to preserve the tie for Lokomotiv.
