A key decision was made for Ukraine, which today caused many disputes and scandals in the parliament.
Parliament passed the decision to provide additional military aid to Ukraine, including missiles for the S-300 systems and ammunition. It was announced by one of the petitioners – the MP from DPS Delyan Peevski after the secret session of the National Assembly.
Our country does not have the necessary capacity to independently repair these munitions – was the leading motive. Their use by our army would create a serious risk for the lives of Bulgarian servicemen.
Unlike Bulgaria, Ukraine has declared that it has the capacity to put such defective munitions into service and that they will serve the Ukrainian army to counter Russian shelling of populated areas, which results in many civilian casualties, it was written as an argument in the reasons of the solution.
Before deciding on sending the missiles for the S-300 system, which according to the importers together with Peevski – Boyko Borisov and Hristo Gadjev from GERB-SDS, Hristo Ivanov, Ivaylo Mirchev and Kiril Petkov from PP-DB, are unusable, in the plenary The Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov, the Deputy Chief of the Air Force Brigadier General Petyo Mirchev and the Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev were summoned to the hall. The latter did not appear in the parliament, despite the three breaks that the deputies gave themselves.
