Yesterday, Kornelia Ninova asked if Anton Hekimyan was Boyko Borisov’s mole on bTV. I took the trouble to check Ninova’s appearances in the last year on this television and discovered that for her Hekimyan was a submarine, and Tsveti Rizova the battleship “Potemkin”. Cornelia is the leader of the fifth largest power in the parliament, but she subscribes to bTV and appeared on prime time alone about three times a month. I do not include here the news and reports with synchronizations, which are separate and many times more. In any private media, this costs a lot of money, if we look at their rates by election. By the way, in no large and self-respecting media, politicians parade so often with an occasion and without an occasion (more often the latter).

PP-DB leaders Kiril Petkov (with the most), Asen Vasilev and Hristo Ivanov have about 50 solo appearances on bTV since January so far (again not counting the news, sometimes with more than one appearance in one broadcast). They were not asked a single awkward question in any interview. None. Not to mention that none of them were pressed by professional journalistic standards for a second of airtime.
For the last two years, GERB leader Boyko Borisov has made two appearances on bTV.
I don’t know what he controlled in this television, but as a viewer and a professional, I claim without any hesitation that since Asen Vasilev and Kiril Petkov became acting ministers two years ago, it worked openly only for “Change”, and 120 minutes was something like the home studio of Cyril and Assen. This is not journalism, but the most ordinary PR. In such a large media outlet, this PR is worth eight figures.
