The future school building will be located next to the “Kaufland” store, between “San Stefano” street to the east and the Tuchenishka river to the west. It will be divided into two learning areas – rooms for students from the initial stage of education I-IV grades and learning rooms for students from V-VII grades with a total of 22 classrooms, as well as a multifunctional area that covers sectors and rooms for elective studies classes, extracurricular activities, library and information center, indoor sports hall, nutrition, health care, administrative management. Open areas for sports and recreation are planned. The capacity of the building is for nearly 600 students who will hold classes in one shift.
The unfolded built-up area is 5,660 sq. m, includes 4 above-ground floors and a basement, the landscaped area is planned to be 2,048 sq. m.
Car access is from San Stefano Street, through an entrance and parking for 11 cars and a second parking lot from the north for 7 cars, of which two spaces are for disabled people. In the area in front of the entrance, there are 110 spaces for bicycles.
It is planned to build an accessible environment for the site. It is guaranteed by the absence of steps in the yard space at both entrances, the construction of an elevator system to all floors of the building and the construction of accessible sanitary facilities on each level is planned.
The Municipality of Pleven provided funds for the construction of the new building in the amount of BGN 5,000,000 from Module 2 of the Ministry of Education and Science. Given the inflationary processes, the amount is insufficient. A request was made for additional funding also through the Ministry of Education and Culture.
