Bulgarian judge Vasil Milenchev was announced by the International Fencing Federation as the best saber judge for 2023. Milenchev won the great distinction for the seventh time in a row, which is an unprecedented achievement in the history of this sport.
“The news came from the Executive Committee of the IFF and is a well-deserved recognition not only of Milenchev’s qualities, but also of the success of this sport in Bulgaria as a whole,” the Bulgarian Fencing Federation shares.
Vasil Milenchev is a native of Plovdiv and is one of the most titled fencing judges in the world. He is a part of every major competition, and the success of our young fencers in recent years is certainly due to his advice, experience and prestige.
