The former head of the Audit Chamber, Tsvetan Tsvetkov, has been nominated as a candidate for mayor of the capital’s “Lozenets” district by the “Blue Sofia” coalition, the pre-election headquarters announced.
Tsvetkov’s name made headlines after the deputies from GERB, DPS, BSP and “Bulgarski Vozhod” quickly voted to dismiss him from office in January. A few months later, the Constitutional Court declared the release of Tsvetan Tsvetkov unconstitutional.
In March 2015, he was elected head of the Audit Chamber by the National Assembly without a single vote against.
Vili Lilkov formed the “Blue Sofia” coalition for the mayoral elections
“Sinya Sofia” nominated the long-time municipal councilor in the Sofia Municipal Council, Vili Lilkov, as mayor of Sofia.
During the last 4 years, the mayor of the “Lozenets” district was Konstantin Pavlov – the Committee, who in 2019 was nominated by “Democratic Bulgaria”. Pavlov was nominated for the local elections on October 29 by the “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria” coalition. The candidate for mayor of GERB for “Lozenets” is Angelina Toteva.
