The coalition “Continuing the change-Democratic Bulgaria” aims to win in the first round and a full majority in the Metropolitan Municipal Council. This was announced by the candidate for mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, who today, together with the leader of the list of municipal councilors Boris Bonev and the co-chairmen of the coalition Kiril Petkov and Hristo Ivanov, registered with the Municipal Election Commission.
GERB is the main opponent of PP-DB and their supporting formations “Save Sofia” and “Sofia Team”, explained Vasil Terziev. “We are working for an electoral victory in the first round. We are concerned about 17 years of legacy, which we will have to repair, which is not at all easy,” explained the candidate.
Boris Bonev rejected any options for a local repetition of the management formula with GERB: “Precisely in order to win a full majority in Sofia and manage this city in a completely new way, so the renovations of the renovations, and the corruption schemes, and all the attempts with the candidate of GERB to construct a new facade, behind which GERB can continue to debate, so that they cannot be implemented”.
Kiril Petkov rejected the possibility of supporting in a run-off a candidate nominated by GERB-SDS – a proposal made today by Boyko Borisov: “At the national level, we spoke with our structures and we believe that in all run-offs PP-DB will be part of these run-offs . So who are we going to support – we are going to support our candidates”.
Petkov confirmed that in Burgas PP and DB will not have a common candidate for mayor. The arrangement is to support whichever of the candidates broadcast by the two formations – Konstantin Bachiiski and Dimitar Naydenov – reaches the runoff.
