Russia published photos and a video of Black Sea Fleet Commander Admiral Viktor Sokolov, declared dead by Ukraine.
The footage, which was allegedly filmed today, was broadcast on Russian state television. The footage shows Sokolov participating in a video conference led by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
Ukrainian special forces announced the admiral as one of a total of 34 Russian servicemen killed in Friday’s missile strike on the headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.
Earlier, the Kremlin refused to comment on the Ukrainian allegations and referred the press to the Ministry of Defense, which released the footage. After their broadcast, the Ukrainian military said they were “clarifying” their data.
