Bulgaria will take part in a 3×3 tournament in Bratislava, Slovakia on September 26-28, BF Basketball announced.
The competition is part of the European Team Cup project for youths up to 25 years of age, in which the home headquarters is also a partner.
Our country will be represented by a girls’ team consisting of Mina Vasileva, Valentina Veselinova, Emma Dincheva and Elena Dragoeva. They have been placed in Group B, where they will have Spain, Romania, Austria and Italy as rivals. In group “A” are the teams of Hungary, Turkey, Slovakia, Estonia and Slovenia.
Played in a head-to-head format, the top four teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals, where head-to-head eliminations will follow.
The main objective of the European Team Cup is to encourage participation in sport and physical activity and to promote the health benefits of mini football, 3×3 basketball and beach volleyball among young people of this age. The focus is also on social responsibility and encouraging participants to actively contribute to their communities. They are offered the opportunity to participate in meaningful volunteer activities that solve social problems and bring about positive change.
