“I told you that we are looking for a candidate – non-standard, calm, smart, familiar with the political system, able to work in a team,” said Borisov. “His chances are huge, he has a huge team”, added Borisov.
He also dismissed doubts about the news in the media, which Hekimyan led until recently. “If someone has worked as much against GERB as these televisions… Shall I remind you of the protests that Bozhkov said he managed – who was the leader”, said Borisov.
Asked if he was giving the mayor’s seat to PP-DB, Borisov denied. “Sofians have the opportunity to choose between a smart, calm person who will take some responsibility before them if he is elected.”
“I was worried by Asen Vassilev’s statement that they would not support us in the second round. And who will they support? “Revival”, BSP? And if so, from whom will they expect support in the parliament. I have given instructions to the party in the second round to support PP-DB”, said the leader of GERB.
“With such a candidacy, with a wide margin, GERB has real chances. With a strictly party candidacy, we would limit ourselves only to the party core,” said Borisov.
Regarding the Russian church in Sofia, Borissov said that it should be opened.
“No arguments matter in this case. As of today, the offices belong to President Radev, I hope they had sufficient grounds when they prepared the documents”, said Borisov.
