Cherno More” defeated “Botev” (Plovdiv) 1:0 in a match of the 11th round of the First League. Atanas Iliev brought success to his team with a goal in the fourth consecutive match.
“Black Sea” started the match well, and Alexander Vassilev hit the crossbar at the very beginning. “Botev” goalkeeper Daniel Kaiser saved Mazir Sula’s shot a little later, and Vassilev missed the goal in the extra time.
In the 19th minute, the hosts took the lead. Iliev took advantage of a mistake in Botev’s defense and scored. By the end of the first half, the hosts created a few more chances.
After the break, the situation did not change much. Edgar Pasheko and Sula missed more opportunities for Black Sea. Kaiser saved Iliev’s shot.
“Cherno More” already has 27 points, being only one behind the leader “Lokomotiv” (Plovdiv), which is visiting “Ludogorets” tomorrow. “Botev” (Plovdiv) is 12th with 9 points.
In the other First League match today, “Beroe” ended its streak of four consecutive losses and ended 0:0 with “CSKA 1948” in Stara Zagora. This was the fifth match in a row in which Beroe did not score a goal. The home team played a good match and created more chances, but were unable to score.
“Beroe” is 8th with 14 points, and “CSKA 1948” is in seventh place with 15.
