A woman was run over by a heavy truck at the production base of the Groma Hold construction company near the Blagoevgrad village of Belo Pole, BNR reports. The truck driver has been detained, and the Regional Labor Inspectorate has started an investigation into the serious work accident.
The incident happened in the early afternoon. The driver of the cement truck, who is not an employee of the construction company, but of a delivery company from Belene, was performing a maneuver and did not notice the woman who was run over by the heavy machine.
A report was immediately sent to the Emergency Center, but the team only found the death of the 65-year-old employee of one of the Groma Hold companies.
Police officers and a team from the Regional Labor Inspectorate in Blagoevgrad arrived on the scene and began an investigation. The prosecutor’s office has also been referred to the serious accident with a fatality.
The truck driver has been arrested.
