A high-level Sino-European economic and trade dialogue was held in Beijing on September 25, Radio China reports.
According to a spokesman for China’s Ministry of Commerce, the participants held “practical, sincere and fruitful discussions on four topics – macroeconomics, trade and investment, industrial and supply chains, and financial cooperation” and reached a number of consensuses.
Participants believe that the world is currently experiencing deep historical changes and lacks engines for economic recovery. Against this background, China and Europe have a special role to play in maintaining dialogue, cooperation and promoting common prosperity. The two sides are willing to work for practical cooperation and the steady development of China-Europe relations to bring more confidence to world economic development and the success of the upcoming 24th China-Europe Summit.
