I apologize if I misled anyone with my opinion last night regarding the GERB candidate for mayor of Sofia. The information I received was rather misleading and unfortunately I rushed to share it.
This is what MEP Alexander Yordanov wrote on his Facebook profile in connection with the election of the GERB/SDS candidate for mayor of Sofia, who has already become clear that he is the TV journalist Anton Hekimyan.
Yordanov also wrote that the battle for the mayoral post of Sofia will be very, very difficult.
“And I do not give a forecast. I remain hopeful that this will not be the communist and DS offspring raised by PP and DB, as well as the BSP candidate,” he added.
His apology was provoked because of another of his posts on social networks from yesterday, which reads as follows: “Tonight I will sleep sweetly, sweetly, because I already know the name of the GERB candidate for mayor of the capital. I also know that the SDS will support him. I am sure that the child from a communist and DS family, raised by the PP-DB, has no chance for the post of mayor”.
