The Institute of Agriculture presented dozens of varieties of apples with unique taste qualities grown and cultivated in the region
Under the colors of autumn and with many smiles, the Feast of Fertility passed in Kyustendil this year.
Hundreds of guests and residents of the city gathered in the park in front of the art gallery “Vl. Dimitrov – Master” to enjoy this autumn festival of abundance.
The Festival of Fertility crowns autumn in Kyustendil and declares it once again as the city – mother of Bulgarian fruit growing. It was held for the 15th year in a row and is a legacy of the First National Fruit Growing Competition, which took place in the distant year 1896 precisely in Kyustendil.

gave an exciting start to the three-day celebrations in honor of Kyustendil fertility.
The event began with a performance by The New Masters, which “joined” the creativity of dozens of children and turned it into a colorful Bulgarian rug – part of the artistic design of the holiday. Through the means of the dance theater, the young girls from the “Debut” studio “revived” the paintings of Vladimir Dimitrov – Master of the stage in the park in front of the art gallery, and the colorful Bulgarian picture was brilliantly complemented by the voices of the talented singers from the “Folkart” formation and the precise steps of dance formation “Partneri-Kyustendil”.
The Saturday day was full of wonderful emotions caused by the exhibition of artistically arranged fruit and vegetable stands –
“Fertility in the Kyustendil region.” The 24 stands – works of art, arranged by the community centers on the territory of Kyustendil municipality, delighted, excited, amazed even with their beauty.
Farmers sold their clean and healthy produce directly to consumers.
Before the official opening, residents and guests of the city had the opportunity to enjoy the performance of the Brass Band – Kyustendil.

The day passed with a wonderful folklore celebration thanks to the dance formation “New Generation”, folklore formation “Gaitanche”; folklore ensemble “Razmetanitsa” – Bobovdol, representative folklore ensemble “Rodolyubie” and vocal group “Trepetlika”.
For all young and old sports lovers, the municipality of Kyustendil, together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, organizes a European night of sports #BeActive Night at Velbazhd Square. This event marked the beginning of the European Week of Sport and the European Night of Sport.
Art studios and children’s workshops were opened for the little ones.

On Sunday, the beautifully arranged stalls once again created a festive mood. The party agency “Bobo” took care of the smiles of the little visitors of the holiday.
The festive program was closed by the beloved band DEL PADRE.
With many positive emotions, smiles and unforgettable moments, the people of Kyustendil sent off the Fertility Festival 2023, but we promised ourselves for next year again:

The holiday has been held annually since 2008 and is organized by the municipality of Kyustendil together with the Institute of Agriculture – Kyustendil.
