Today, Grigor Dimitrov will face Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals of the ATP 250 hard court tournament in Chengdu (China). The match on the Central Court will start no earlier than 14:30 Bulgarian time.
The two tennis players have played seven times so far, with the Russian winning six of the meetings. Dimitrov and Zverev have met three times this year, with all three matches ending in success for the Russian. Zverev recorded two of his victories at the Grand Slam tournaments Roland Garros and the US Open, and the third at the Masters 1000 series tournament in Cincinnati.
The Bulgarian’s only victory over the 26-year-old German was back in 2014 at the tournament in Basel.
In the quarter-finals yesterday, the Bulgarian defeated 6:4, 6:1 No. 53 in the world ranking Christopher O’Connell from Australia. The leader in the scheme beat Miomir Kecsmanovic 5:7, 7:5, 6:2 and thanks to his victory, from today he occupies the 7th position. Grigor Dimitrov retains the 20th place in the ranking.

The winner of the match will play either Lorenzo Musetti or Roman Safiulin, who take on Center Court in the previous match no earlier than 12:30 p.m.
