It wasn’t about gen. Atanas Atanasov to head one of the services. There will be a public procedure for the selection of leadership. This was said by Iskren Arabadzhiev, nominated for mayor of Lovech by “Prodluzhvame Promyanata”, in the studio of “Offensive with Ljubo Ognyanov”. The reason was the resignation of Gen. Atanasov as the head of the parliamentary commission for control over services because of the refusal of GERB to support the merger of the intelligence services at this stage.

As long as they support our bills, we will not refuse support from DPS. The same goes for GERD. As long as the government implements the program we have adopted, we will support it. The role of DPS is to have a constitutional change that will restore justice. But support for the government comes from the PP-DB and GERB-SDS parliamentary groups. Now is not the time for reforms in the services, but we are adamant that there should be reforms, Arabadzhiev pointed out.
According to him, Radev believes that Bulgaria should not defend its European path. “Fighting corruption at the highest levels is the way for Bulgaria to become a normal European country with high incomes. The anti-corruption commission will be made up of the most qualified persons, and their independence is guaranteed by the nomination board,” Arabadzhiev believes.
According to him, the problems with the farmers have been going on for years. “Among them are the concentration of subsidies and consolidation of lands. For the moment, the situation is under control with the found balanced solution. The crisis has been extinguished, all parties are satisfied. We are against bans on the import of goods,” he explained.
Stopping the derogation for Russian oil carries risks for fuel prices, Arabadzhiev explained, but with careful planning, everything can go well. “Even before the war, Lukoil worked not only with Russian fuel. We give a clear signal that they should set up the refinery so that it works according to European legislation,” he emphasized. And he specified that at the national level the biggest opponent of PP in the local elections is GERB-SDS.
