Ludogorets returned to the winning ways in the First League. In the last meeting of the tenth round, the champions made a turnaround from 0:1 to 3:1 when visiting Lokomotiv Sofia, after allowing a 2:2 draw at home against Botev Plovdiv a week ago.
In the seventh minute, Alexander Lubenov intervened decisively after a shot by Bernard Tekpetei. Five minutes later, the people of Sofia surprisingly took the lead. Bruno Franco crossed into the box where Diogo Teixeira scored for the champions.
The team from Razgrad applied pressure until the end of the first half, but was unable to quickly return to the match. In the 33rd minute, Alan Dias had to clear just before the home team’s goal line.
Ludogorets started to play significantly stronger after the start of the second half. In the 58th minute, Ruan Seko shot inaccurately when attempting an acrobatic performance at the goal of the “red and blacks”.
Just one minute later, Seko managed to equalize in favor of the people of Zagreb. Aslak Von Vitry passed for Caio Vidal and he released for Seko for the striker to make it 1-1.
Just a few seconds later, Spas Delev missed scoring with a beautiful scissors kick. Ludogorets still reached the turning point in the 67th minute. Ivan Yordanov crossed in the penalty area, and Claude Gonsalves scored with a header in the goal of the capital city.
In the 76th minute, Spas Delev sent a strong shot to Alexander Lyubenov, who knocked it out, and then Alan Dias decided to head the ball back to the home goalkeeper, who missed the ball and Caio Vidal made the score 1:3 in an empty net.
The success for the Greens comes just three days after a 4-0 win at home to Spartak Tarnava in the Conference League group stage.
Ludogorets is in fifth place in the ranking so far, while Lokomotiv occupies the 11th position in the First League, informs BTA.
