A Ukrainian drone has struck an administrative building in the center of the city of Kursk, in southern Russia, the Russian authorities announced today, as quoted by France Press.

In recent months, Kiev has launched almost daily attacks on Russian cities amid a Ukrainian counteroffensive against Russian forces that began in early June.
Kursk is about 90 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

“In Kursk, a Ukrainian drone attacked an administrative building in the center,” Kursk Region Governor Roman Starovoit wrote in Telegram.

“There is light damage on the roof. Employees from the emergency and rescue services are working on the spot,” added the governor.
Last month, a Ukrainian drone caused significant damage to a train station in Kursk and injured five people, AFP recalls.
