Manchester United ended their three-game losing streak in all competitions after beating Burnley in a Premier League sixth-round tie. The match ended with a score of 1:0 for the visitors. The only goal in the match came at the very end of the first half and was the work of Bruno Fernandes.
United had a goal disallowed
United started the match more confidently and in the 6th minute, Rasmus Hoylund was brought alone against the hosts’ guard, but he was unable to overcome it. Burnley’s players got into a good position shortly after when Zeki Amdouni headed in, but Andre Onana was able to save.
In the 16th minute, Burnley were very close to scoring. Amduni received a good ball behind the back of the defense and shot. However, his shot hit the left side post of the Red Devils’ goal. Ten minutes later, a Jonny Evans goal was disallowed for offside. United eventually took the lead in the last minute of normal time when Evans set up Bruno Fernandes well, who powered home to make it 1-0.

After the break, Burnley tried to press their opponent, but were never able to get into good positions. United, on the other hand, slowed down and could have suffered in the 75th minute when Bruun Larsen entered the penalty area, but was unable to overcome Onana. Shortly before the end of regular time, the home team came close to scoring again, but Berge’s shot did not find the Red Devils’ empty net.
In the end, the players of Manchester United congratulated themselves with success. After the victory, the “red devils” collected 9 points in their assets after 6 games played and are in eighth place in the temporary standings in the Premier League. Burnley are last with only one point in their assets.
