A shocking situation in BTV after the director of “News, Current Affairs and Sports” Anton Hekimyan resigned.
bTV Media Group (bTV) announces that it has accepted the resignation of Anton Hekimyan, Director of News, Current Affairs and Sport, with immediate effect.
as a result of his decision to continue in a different professional direction.
The company thanks Anton Hekimyan for his professional contribution over the past 17 years and acknowledges his efforts to turn bTV into one of the most objective and reliable media in Bulgaria.
In the interim, bTV Media Group CEO Ralf Bartolait will be responsible for news content,
together with the editor-in-chief of “bTV News” Veselin Petrakieva,
with the editor-in-chief of “Current Shows” Iskra Vladimirova and with the web content manager & executive producer of “Sport” editorial board Vladislava Lazarova.
As a journalist at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung in Germany, correspondent and bureau chief in Moscow and Leipzig for the Deutsche Presse Agentur (dpa),
Mr. Bartolait has a distinguished previous experience as a political editor and foreign correspondent.

The CME Editorial Board will continue to monitor all bTV news activities to ensure the integrity and independence of bTV News.
The media immediately launched a process to select Mr. Hekimyan’s replacement for the post of director of bTV’s News, Current Affairs and Sports department.
