An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale was registered this morning in central Turkey, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported.
The epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred at 11:22 local (and Bulgarian) time, was 56 km west-northwest of Kahramanmarash and 14 km south-southwest of Göksun. The depth of the outbreak is estimated at 5 km.
The new tremor is in the area where two earthquakes on February 6, with a magnitude of 77 and 7.6 respectively on the Richter scale, killed more than 50,000 people.
