One of world tennis’s most exciting duels is definitely Daniil Medvedev against Alexander Zverev. The two players will now battle it out again for a place in the next round of the Monte Carlo Masters tournament.
This will be their first ATP meeting on a clay court.
Medvedev won their previous sparring session at the Indian Wells tournament 6-7, 7-6 and 7-5 and he has now also walked off the court victorious seven times in their 13 duels.
All two tennis stars had earlier settled with their rivals in Monte Carlo: Medvedev beat Lorenzo Sonego 6-3 and 6-2, while Zverev trumped Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4 and 6-4.
“We have been involved in tough games before. I remember I beat him back then as a junior player on a clay court, but this match promises to be a horse of a different color. Alexander is playing good tennis now and I will have to be at my best,” Medvedev said.

Then Novak Djokovic will play against Lorenzo Musetti, while Jannik Sinner will face Hubert Hurkacz.
