Load power was suspended for six hours on Saturday due to a reduction in demand for electricity.
According to Eskom, load shedding was stopped at 11:00 and the postponement will apply until 17:00 before it continues again. Phase 1 load shedding would have been in effect until 4pm on Saturday.
Phase 3 load shedding will be applied from 17:00 to 05:00 on Sunday morning. According to Eskom, there will then be no load shedding again on Sunday between 05:00 and 16:00 before phase 3 will resume at 16:00 and will apply until 05:00 Monday morning.
There is also expected to be no load shedding between 05:00 and 16:00 on Monday. Phase 3 will then apply again on Monday from 16:00 to 24:00.
