“I have grown, learned and developed so much in my music in the past while. And I’m far from finished learning.”
This is how the raspy-voiced singer TiNo talks, the 21-year-old man who initially gained fame on TikTok before his singing career caught fire.
Today there are numerous singles and a great listening debut album behind TiNo’s name. His new single, “Tassies pak”, is just one more of his tracks with which he will conquer South African hearts.
“Tassies pak” which he and a girlfriend wrote, actually tells a love story, TiNo tells Rhewal.
“It’s a hard rock love story through and through,” he says.
“It was an honor to see how ‘Distance’ [sy vorige enkelsnit] was so well received, and I hope that this song will have the same success. I am grateful for the support of my fans and hope to surprise them with more music in the future.”
However, he is determined that his path in the music industry is also a school of learning, and that the growth and development he experiences as a person and artist will never really come to an end.
When TiNo is not busy strumming his guitar, writing new songs or performing, he spends his time behind the university desks of Stellenbosch University. He is currently doing his third year in plant and zoology and is looking forward to seeing how he will use this degree when he finally finishes studying.
“I have to say, it is a privilege to have a few options for the future now. For now I can’t really choose. I like what I study, I enjoy rugby and I’m crazy about music.
“I’m going to see where the road takes me – time will tell.”
Fans of this singer and social media personality can shake their feathers for a new album that will soon hit the shelves.
“I hope that my music spreads well and that people resonate with it. After all, it is the people who are important in the end.”
