Residents of the Western Cape can soon expect slightly cooler weather with the first snow for the winter which may also fall in places in the Cape Provinces.
According to Lehlohonolo Thobela, a spokesperson attached to the South African Weather Service (SAWD), a light cold front will hit the Western Cape by Friday.
Residents of the province can expect colder and wet weather conditions by Saturday.
“By Sunday, temperatures in parts of the Eastern and Northern Cape will also drop slightly. Isolated rain showers are also expected to fall in these provinces,” confirms Thobela.
The cold front will also bring snow to high-lying areas of the Cape Provinces and Drakensberg.
In the central and northeastern parts of the country, residents can also expect isolated rain showers by Sunday.
