“One day.” by Molly Lubbinge
One day I just will
break away for a weekend.
One day I will dress up
and go out with the women.
One day I will get hobbies,
because apparently it helps with the stress,
something to distract me,
to help me forget
But now I want to be quiet
and mourn on my own.
Now I want to sit and watch
how loneliness consumes me.
Now I just want to think “about it” –
that name that no one may say.
I will get up here one day.
But now I just want to stay lying here.
