Students at the Saint-Michel-Garicoïts de Cambo school in the Basque region in the south-west of France presented a striking performance of Beethoven’s famous Fifth Symphony.
The 185 learners dynamically and synchronized portrayed the music with the help of their bodies.
A video of the performance is now again very popular on social media.
The college’s music teacher Nelly Guilhemsans adapted the music especially for them. The ensemble continued to practice in groups of 50 every day for five months during the 2020 academic year.
It was filmed in the Arnaga garden in front of a house that at one stage belonged to a poet, Edmond Rostand.
