Over the past 24 hours, three generating units have been brought back into operation, respectively at the Duvha, Kendal, Kriel and Majuba power stations.
However, over the same period, a unit at each of these power stations was taken off the grid to carry out maintenance work.
Delays in the restoration of generating units at Duvha, Hendrina, Kriel, Majuba, Medupi and Tutuka also continue in the meantime.
