Chelsea plan to offer Mendy a new contract
Chelsea are reportedly planning to offer Edouard Mendy a new, long-term contract.
When the Senegalese moved to the London side from Rennes in 2020, he was considered as an alternative to Kepa Arrizabalagan – as a second goalkeeper.
However, Mendy showed good performances and earned his place in the starting line-up, reports Rhewal.
According to “Daily Mail”, Chelsea are expected to offer a new contract to the 30-year-old, as they believe that he deserves a salary increase.
Mendy’s current contract with “Blue” expires on June 30, 2025.
Edouard Mendy counts 94 appearances in total with Chelsea, as he has kept 50 clean sheets. /Express newspaper/
