Jon Saqipi also brings an international award to Kosovo
The young director, Jon Saqipi, has scored an international success with his short film “Circle”.
He announced through social networks that he won an award in New York at the “Grand New York Film Awards – USA” festival.
In an interview for T7, the director said that he is also waiting for an award in Berlin, specifically at the “Emerald Peacock” festival, where he is nominated in all categories.
Until now “Circle” has had a lot of success in international festivals. He has won four times and has been nominated in several categories.
He has won awards such as; best student film at – Gold Star Movie Awards – NEW JERSEY, USA; best student film at – Mumabi International Film Festival – INDIA, best student film at – Grand New York Film Awards – USA and honorable mention for best student film at – Arrow International Film Festival – PARIS, FRANCE.
He was also a semi-finalist in the Best Director category at the Hollywood International Golden Age Festival held in New York, USA, then a semi-finalist for the best student film at Palm Springs Shorts in California until he was selected in all categories at the Emerald Peacock in Berlin, Germany.
The main roles of this film are played by: Sherif Bega, Shengyl Ismaili, Shkumbin Veseli, Rabije Kryeziu, Fatmir Haliti. The direction was made by Jon Saqipi with assistant Qëndresa Krasniqi. Producers of the film are Kastriot Saqipi, cameraman Fitim Saqipi, organizer: Bleron Hevziu, editor Xhemail Bajrami, sound engineer Albanian Dervisholli and audio post production, Ben Haliti. /Express newspaper/
