Monza in search of Arsenal’s “failure”, Pablo Mari
Monza have reportedly begun talks over a potential transfer for Arsenal defender Pablo Mari.
The 28-year-old Spaniard returned to North London earlier this month after a positive season on loan at Udinese. He is not included in Mikel Arteta’s project for the club and is now expected to find a new home when the new season begins.
According to TMW, Monza sporting director Adriano Galliani has contacted Arsenal to explore a deal for Mari, as they are believed to be looking to bolster their defence.
The promoted Serie A side have been very active in the transfer market this summer and they have shown no signs of slowing down as the new Serie A season approaches, they are keen to try and at least avoid relegation.
Mari is under contract with Arsenal until 2024 and his market value is estimated to be somewhere around €5 million, but Monza can buy him even cheaper if they still target him. /Express newspaper/
