The photo of the expatriate who died in the tragic accident in Podujevo is published
Local media have revealed the identity and published the photo of one of the people who died in the tragic accident that happened today between a car and a bus in Podujevë. According to reports, the emigrant who died is Shemsedin Sopaj from the village of Jançishte in the Municipality of Malisheva, Express reports.
A 35-year-old woman also died in this accident, whose identity has not yet been released.
The case was confirmed to Express Newspaper by the spokesperson of the Kosovo Police for the Prishtina Region, Florie Ahmeti.
Ahmeti informed that two children were also injured in this accident.
“Around 04:40 we received the information that on the road Prishtina – Podujevë, there was a traffic accident with fatal consequences. A moving car (with foreign license plates) and a bus were involved in this accident. As a result of the accident, four people suffered serious bodily injuries, two of them were unable to cope with their injuries and the same died,” Ahmeti declared.
The injured children were sent for medical treatment, while the bodies of the victims were sent for autopsy to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
“Their death was confirmed by the medical team at the scene. The bodies of the victims: Sh.S, male, 36 years old, and MS, female, 35 years old, have been sent for autopsy to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, while the other two injured persons (children) have been sent for medical treatment,” said Ahmeti.
The Mayor of Malisheva, Ekrem Kastrati, also stated about the case to the Express newspaper.
He said that one of the children who was injured is in a serious state of health, while the other is slightly injured.
“Two citizens from the Municipality of Malisheva lost their lives in a traffic accident. One of the children is in serious health condition and the other is slightly injured. The municipality of Malisheva is in pain and sorrow for their loss. I express my condolences to the family and all the citizens”, said Kastrati./Rhewal
