200 million Americans, Kurti and Osmani at the signing ceremony, MCC gives details
Kosovo and the American Corporation Millennium Challenges (MCC) today will sign the agreement of 236 million euros.
As announced by the MCC, the signing ceremony will start from 16:00 to 17:30, local time in Washington.
“MCC and the Government of Kosovo have drafted an agreement to address Kosovo’s electricity supply through investments in energy storage infrastructure and technical training programs. These investments will accelerate Kosovo’s transition to a cleaner energy future, cultivate the workforce needed to support Kosovo’s energy transition, stimulate the practice of gender equality in firms and increase the representation of women in energy and similar sectors. The MCC-Kosovo partnership will have two projects”.
The host of the ceremony will be Gregory Meeks, chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives, together with the president Vjosa Osmani, the prime minister Albin Kurti and the chief executive officer of the MCC, Alice Albright.
The latter is expected to sign the agreement, while the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, will sign from Kosovo.
