Qalaj for taking the policeman’s revolver from Lushtaku: Who are you to take the policeman’s gun?
The deputy of PDK, Rashit Qalaj, has commented on the case of taking the policeman’s revolver in an incident in Skenderaj where the former deputy mayor of the municipality, Nuredin Lushtaku, was also involved.
According to the prosecution, after the fight that the Lushtaku family had with the police officials, Nuredin Lushtaku, the former vice-mayor of Skenderaj, had sent the gun of the policeman Enver Berisha to the former mayor of the municipality, Bekim Jashari, and then the latter had handed it over to the Police. Qalaj said that this is disgusting and that no one dares to do such a thing.
“It’s disgusting. There may have been some mistake by the police. But who are you to take the policeman’s gun? All respect for Mr. Lushtak’s past. I don’t know him personally. But who are you to do this,” says Qalaj.
“Even at the moment when it was requested. He had to go and surrender to the police. Really, how dare you take a foreign weapon. I apologize, but this should not happen. It happened in the past, but now they don’t dare to happen again”, he added.
He further said that even the judiciary does not protect the policemen and that in the cases where the policemen were the victims, then the punishments were minimal.
“Look at the cases, how the cases ended in court when the policeman was the victim. I think that the perpetrators of the crimes against the police received the minimum sentences”, he added in the Pressing show on T7. /Express newspaper/
